Electric Vehicle Charging

GOING GREEN

In today's environmentally-conscious climate, it's more crucial than ever to embrace sustainability and invest in initiatives that enhance local air quality while promoting eco-friendly modes of transportation. Additionally, addressing the increasing global energy demand is paramount, all while significantly reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions. The call for cleaner, more efficient energy is not a demand for tomorrow; it's a demand for today.

At PV Electrical Services, we are wholeheartedly committed to being a part of the solution. That's why we have partnered with industry-leading companies like Pod point, Andersen, Project EV, Rolec, and Zappi. Together, we are dedicated to installing cutting-edge electric vehicle charging networks that are set to transform the way we generate, utilise, and monitor energy.

As a company specialising in Europe's broadest selection of EV charging solutions, we are confident that we offer charging points tailored to every budget and application. Our mission is to provide accessible and sustainable energy solutions for today and the future.

OZEV

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) is a team working across the government to support the early market for ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV). They are providing over £900 million to position the UK at the global forefront of ULEV development, manufacture and use. This will contribute to economic growth and will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution on our roads.

EV Workplace

The Workplace Charging Scheme is capped at £350 per chargepoint socket up to a maximum 40 sockets per applicant business. The EV infrastructure grant for staff and fleets, helps small and medium sized businesses install the infrastructure they need for chargepoints.

More and more UK companies are installing electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions at their offices, factories and facilities as they begin to electrify company cars and fleets. Simultaneously, employees, customers and visitors are switching to EVs as more affordable, attractive models enter the market. We install a range of EV charging points which have been specially designed for commercial locations, including restaurants, offices, factories, warehouses, car parks etc.

For employees, charging at work can be a convenient way to recharge an EV whilst parked during the day. From a business point of view, having a charge point at the workplace will become increasingly important as a facility for employees and visitors, while for businesses with an EV fleet it can be an essential operating factor

EV Home

From the 15th June 2022, new homes and buildings in England will be required to have EV charging points fitted in hope to reach zero emissions by 2050. The new regulations mean that any building development with parking must have access to an electric car charging point, saving new home buyers hundreds of pounds.

Any other buildings undergoing large-scale redevelopments will also be required to have an EV charger installed if they have over 10 parking spaces on site. This law does not apply to work subject to a building notice or any plans submitted before that date, providing that the work has started by the 15th June 2023.

The EV chargepoint grant for landlords, helps to reduce the cost of installation for anyone renting, leasing or managing a commercial property.

The OZEV EV chargepoint grant provides up to £350 off the cost of purchasing and installing a home charging point.

You can only claim one chargepoint per eligible vehicle and household.

  • The grant is available for people who live in a rented property or own a flat with dedicated off-street parking.

  • Your landlord or property manager may also be able to claim up to an additional £500 per bay (up to 60 bays) towards the cost of installing infrastructure for you and your neighbours via the EV infrastructure grant for residential car parks.

SMART SOLUTIONS

EV manufacturers offer a range of Smart interactive EV charging solutions for any location.

Once installed, these Smart pedestal and wall unit EV charging points automatically connect to a cloud based back office via GPRS or Ethernet and begin relaying charge point information and activity back to the portal - which can then be used for reporting, analysing and preparing statistics.
